Memorial Day recap pt 1-Birthday Party 1

Our Memorial Day weekend began at 5:00pm on Thursday! We decided we would leave Iowa after work so that it would give us an extra whole day in Kansas, this was a good though but didn't really play out as we were hoping!

We make one BIG mistake...we changed Kinley's car seat the day before we left for KS so she was not used to the new one at all! She did great the first two hours in the car then we stopped to grab some dinner and then the melt down started. She was super tired but wouldn't let herself fall asleep. Finally I held her hand and after about an hour she zonked out! She did great the rest of the trip but that hour and a half was pretty rough.

We make it to my home town at about Mid-Night where we dropped Beasley off at my parents before driving the last 35 minutes to Jason's hometown. We immediately unpacked the car, put Kinley to bed and headed to bed ourselves. Nothing too exciting happened on Friday. Kinley and I were bums while Jason caught up on some work.
